The Alaskan Sunnyside Sisters

Akulina is the oldest sister and proud band leader of the Alaskan Sunnyside Sisters. She plays guitar with soul, strength, and style—keeping the rhythm steady and the energy high. Whether she’s picking a fast bluegrass run or gently leading a gospel tune, Akulina sets the tone for the whole band.

As the big sister, she’s not just the leader on stage, but also behind the scenes—helping with song choices, organizing practice, and keeping everyone on track (and in tune!). She’s homeschooled like her sisters, and takes her role seriously with a big heart, clear vision, and a lot of love.
